چکیده
With the development of construction technology and material, more super high-rise buildings will be constructed in future. In a specific metropolitan area, building with various cross-section high side ratio have to been designed due size limitation site. This kind is also very prone wind excitations. this research, tunnel tests for practical case surrounding were carried out atmospheric boundary tunnel. Equivalent static loads (ESWLs), wind-induced responses load distribution on analyzed. particular, base overturning moment along axis weak lateral stiffness investigated bearing capacity limit state design building. The results demonstrate that maximum value moments acceleration appears at 60° or 330° directions instead orthogonal direction, aerodynamic interference affects pressure facades These conclusion may helpful wind-resistant ratio.

An experimental study on wind loads acting on a high-rise building model induced by microburst-like winds
In the present study, an experimental investigation is conducted to quantify the characteristics of the microburst-induced wind loads (i.e., both static and dynamic wind loads) acting on a high-rise building model, compared to those with the test model placed in conventional atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) winds. The experimental study is performed by using an impinging-jet-based microburst si...
متن کاملDynamic Response of High-Rise Buildings to Stochastic Wind Loads
This paper presents results of a recent study addressing issues concerning the dynamic response of high-rise buildings. Utilizing a high-frequency base-balance, the alon~w;:~d, acrosswind and torsional components of aerodynamic loads and their statistical corm!ations for a wide range of generic building shapes of different aspect ratios in two approach flow conditions are quantified. A random-v...
متن کاملDamping Wind and Wave Loads on a Floating Wind Turbine
Offshore wind energy capitalizes on the higher and less turbulent wind speeds at sea. To enable deployment of wind turbines in deep-water locations, structures are being explored, where wind turbines are placed on a floating platform. This combined structure presents a new control problem, due to the partly unconstrained movement of the platform and ocean wave excitation. If this additional com...
متن کاملLarge Eddy Simulation of Wind Loads on a Low-rise Structure and Comparison with Wind Tunnel Results
This work presents estimates of time histories of pressure coefficients at several taps on the roof of a 1/200 model of a 200 x 100 x 20 ft low-rise building with a 1/24 slope gable roof building. The estimates were obtained using a large eddy simulation (LES). The first and second moments as well as peaks for the time histories are compared with those obtained in boundary layer wind-tunnel mea...
متن کاملComparison of microburst-wind loads on low-rise structures of various geometric shapes
Microburst can produce downdraft and strong divergent outflow wind, whose characteristics are distinct from the atmospheric boundary layer (ABL) wind. In the present study, microburst-wind loading effects on low-rise structures a cubic-shaped building, a grain bin and two gable-roofed buildings – are evaluated and compared by performing laboratory tests on scaled models using a microburst simul...
